Farmer Group Facilitation
Farmer Groups boost environmental benefits through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and local advice, with access to funding. Our team has extensive experience supporting them.

Supporting Farmer Groups for shared environmental success
Farmer Groups, or Clusters, have proved a popular and effective way of delivering landscape scale environmental benefits across multiple, neighbouring farms. By working with an advisor or ‘facilitator’ farmers are able to work collaboratively to deliver greater biodiversity and environmental benefits than they would if they worked independently.
There are multiple benefits to being part of a group including:
-
Looking beyond individual farm boundaries
-
Opportunity to share knowledge and experience
-
Own, locally specific advice and environmental support
-
Bottom-up approach – members decide their own priorities and delivery
-
Easier access to funding and investment
-
Economies of scale
-
Social benefits.
The team have extensive experience of supporting farmer groups having been involved in some of the earliest examples including the Pewsey Downs Farmers Group and Chalke Valley Farmer Cluster.
